The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of labor and employment litigation experience, a JD from an accredited law school, and Massachusetts Bar admission, with strong writing, depositions, and courtroom skills to support management on workplace issues.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic record.
• Active Massachusetts Bar admission, in good standing.
• 3–7 years of substantive labor and employment litigation experience.
• Experience handling employment-related disputes.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Experience appearing in state and federal courts and arbitration.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Preferred: employment counseling for management; large firm or boutique experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitration.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct witness interviews, legal research, and case analysis.
• Take and defend depositions and assist with trial and hearing preparation.
• Develop litigation strategy and work directly with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Advise employers on employment law compliance and workplace risk management issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's labor and employment practice on complex matters.
• Manage case files and litigation deadlines from inception through resolution.
