Job summary

Cooper Levenson is seeking a highly professional Litigation Attorney for our defense practice in Las Vegas, Nevada. The attorney will assist with case evaluation, strategy, and client representations in litigation, depositions, mediations, and trials.

The role requires a JD from an accredited school and Nevada bar admission, 1–3+ years of civil/defense litigation experience (training available). Strong writing and communication skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Cooper Levenson is currently seeking a highly professional and experienced Litigation Attorney for our busy Defense Litigation practice in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Responsibilities

• Assists Attorney in initial case evaluation and development of litigation strategy.
• Represents clients in litigation.
• Conducts extensive legal research and drafts correspondences, pleadings, discovery and motions.
• Prepares for and conducts depositions.
• Prepares for and participates in mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Assists in preparing settlement agreements, motions, and briefs.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in the state of Nevada, required
• 1-3+ years' experience in civil/defense litigation, preferred. Willing to train, provided the right candidate has prior legal experience, is a quick study, and is eager to learn.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive legal documents and communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must enjoy the fast pace of handling complex litigation matters.
• Detail oriented and a motivated self-starter.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and interact closely with clients.
• Comfort level making court appearances, both State and Federal Court.
• Familiarity with NetDocs, a plus.
