Job Title:Associate Attorney (Coverage)

Job Overview:
A law firm located in Boston, MA, is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with a focus on insurance coverage litigation. The role offers a hybrid schedule and provides an opportunity to work within a well-established coverage litigation team handling complex disputes. This position is designed for attorneys who thrive in both independent and collaborative environments and want to deepen their specialization in insurance-related litigation while working closely with experienced professionals on high-stakes matters.

Duties:

Handle a caseload of insurance coverage matters from initiation through resolution

Interpret and analyze policy language to develop legal positions

Draft comprehensive coverage opinions, pleadings, and motions

Conduct depositions and argue motions in court

Engage in strategic discussions with clients and litigation teams

Perform in-depth legal research and prepare detailed memoranda

Collaborate with partners and litigation support teams to develop case strategies

Maintain consistent and proactive communication with clients

Participate in hearings, settlement negotiations, and pretrial procedures

Requirements:

Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters independently

Familiarity with coverage issues involving commercial general liability and other complex insurance policies

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Comfortable working in a hybrid work environment

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Active and in good standing with the Massachusetts State Bar
