CareerNerds, LLC in San Francisco is seeking an Associate Attorney for a plaintiffs' litigation practice focused on whistleblower and consumer protection class actions. The role offers exposure to high-impact matters and meaningful courtroom experience early in the tenure.

The attorney will handle cases from development through resolution, draft major pleadings, manage discovery and ESI, and collaborate with senior trial lawyers on trial prep and strategy in a demanding, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of post-bar litigation experience.
• Strong writing, analytical and legal research skills.
• Experience with depositions, court appearances, complex discovery and ESI.
• Demonstrated desire to build a career as a litigator.
• Strong academic credentials and a stable employment history.
• Collaborative, intellectually curious and capable in a demanding litigation environment.
• Plaintiff- or defense-side litigation backgrounds may be considered.
• Prosecutor or public defender experience may be transferable.
• Big Law litigators seeking substantially more hands-on courtroom and trial experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsabilités

• Manage substantive portions of complex litigation from early case development through resolution.
• Draft complaints, motions and other significant pleadings.
• Handle written discovery and complex document/ESI matters.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Work with experts and participate in trial preparation.
• Appear in court and develop meaningful first- and second-chair litigation experience.
• Collaborate closely with senior trial attorneys and a strong professional support team.
