Senior Commercial Litigator | Real Autonomy, Strong Bonus Potential & Clear Partnership Track | Up to $190k

A rapidly expanding Texas business law firm is looking for an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its Frisco office in a senior, high-responsibility role.

This is not a position where you’ll sit behind a partner doing research and drafting. You’ll own cases, take depositions, handle hearings, supervise a junior attorney, work directly with clients and play a meaningful role in trial preparation and strategy.

Role

You’ll handle a sophisticated commercial litigation caseload involving matters such as:

• Complex business disputes
• Contract litigation
• Deceptive trade practices
• Other commercial and corporate disputes

You’ll be expected to independently manage files, take and defend depositions, attend hearings, work directly with clients, prepare matters for trial and supervise/mentor a junior associate.

The package

• Base: $150,000–$190,000, with potential flexibility for exceptional senior candidates
• Bonus: Approximately $16,000–$40,000+ annual potential
• Origination: 15% of collected revenue from originated clients
• Billables: Approximately 1,800 annually
• Working arrangement: Primarily office-based
• Progression: Clear opportunity to develop toward partnership

What they’re looking for

• 5–15 years of litigation experience, with roughly 7–10 years being the sweet spot
• Strong commercial/business litigation experience
• Experience attending and handling hearings
• The ability to independently manage an active docket
• Meaningful trial preparation or trial experience

First-chair commercial trial experience is particularly attractive, although strong second-chair experience will also be considered.

Attorneys coming from insurance defense can also be considered where they have substantial trial experience, significant case responsibility and experience managing a sizeable docket.

Experience in labor & employment litigation, mentoring junior attorneys or business development would also be advantageous.
