Job summary

Certus Recruitment is partnering with a rapidly growing Dallas law firm to recruit a Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its expanding litigation team. You'll take genuine ownership of cases, work directly with clients and spend meaningful time in depositions, hearings, mediations and the courtroom.

Importantly, you don’t need to have extensive trial experience already. The firm is equally interested in strong litigators who have some courtroom exposure and want the opportunity to develop

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar.
• Strong commercial litigation experience.
• Courtroom and trial experience, or a genuine desire to gain significantly more.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Strong legal writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage cases and deadlines.
• Personal injury litigation experience is valuable.
• Insurance defense experience would be advantageous.
• Ambition to continue developing as a trial attorney.

Responsibilities

• Work across the full litigation lifecycle, from case inception through trial.
• Handle commercial litigation, personal injury and insurance defense matters.
• Collaborate with partners to develop case strategy and take increasing ownership.
• Interact with clients and manage cases and deadlines.

Certus Recruitment is partnering with a rapidly growing Dallas law firm to recruit a Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its expanding litigation team.

This is an opportunity for an attorney who wants more than desk-based litigation. You'll take genuine ownership of cases, work directly with clients and spend meaningful time in depositions, hearings, mediations and the courtroom.

Importantly, you don’t need to have extensive trial experience already. The firm is equally interested in strong litigators who have some courtroom exposure and want the opportunity to develop significantly more.

The Role

You’ll work across the full litigation lifecycle, from case inception and discovery through depositions, hearings, mediation and trial.

The caseload includes commercial litigation, personal injury and insurance defense matters, with the opportunity to develop case strategy alongside experienced partners while taking increasing responsibility for your own cases.

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar
• Strong commercial litigation experience
• Courtroom and trial experience, or a genuine desire to gain significantly more
• Experience taking and defending depositions
• Strong legal writing, analytical and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage cases and competing deadlines
