The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of civil litigation experience, an active Missouri Bar license, and strong legal research and writing skills. Illinois Bar admission is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in civil litigation defense.
• Active Missouri Bar membership is required.
• Illinois Bar admission is preferred but not required.
• Strong legal research and writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle various aspects of civil defense litigation under guidance of experienced attorneys.
• Manage discovery, including drafting responses and reviewing requests from opposing counsel.
• Ensure timely compliance with discovery obligations and case deadlines.
• Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research to support case theories and strategies.
• Coordinate communications with clients, co-counsel, expert witnesses, and others.
• Develop case strategy and prepare matters for litigation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and team members.
• Juggle multiple matters and deadlines while maintaining high-quality work product.
