You will draft pleadings, manage discovery, and prepare for hearings, depositions, and trial, with opportunity for real client contact. The ideal candidate is licensed in Missouri and Illinois, holds a J.D., and prefers in-person or hybrid work.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Missouri and Illinois licenses in good standing.
• 3+ years of litigation experience.
• Civil defense experience preferred.
• Medical malpractice/toxic tort experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage litigation files with partners and trial team.
• Handle medical malpractice, toxic tort, and civil defense matters.
• Conduct factual investigations and develop case strategy.
• Manage written discovery and document productions.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and related documents.
• Review contracts, policies, and medical records.
• Prepare for hearings and oral arguments.
• Support trial team during proceedings.
