Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Associate Attorney role based in Wheeling, WV. The Associate Attorney will handle a range of litigation and advisory matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, and conducting comprehensive legal research to support case strategy. Responsibilities include providing legal advice to clients, assisting in case preparation, participating in negotiations, and appearing in court or administrative proceedings as needed. The role involves close collaboration with partners and other team members in relevant practice groups, contributing to strategy development and client communications. The Associate Attorney will also help manage case files, meet deadlines, and maintain high professional and ethical standards in all work.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to analyze statutes, regulations, and case law and apply them to complex factual scenarios.
• Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients, including risk assessment, issue spotting, and strategic recommendations.
• Proficient Research skills, including use of legal research platforms and careful citation to authority in written work.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission, or eligibility for admission, to the Pennsylvania bar.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills, including drafting briefs and presenting arguments in court or administrative forums.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters, work collaboratively within practice groups, and meet tight deadlines.
• Commitment to professionalism, client service, ethical practice, and ongoing legal education and training.
