This position is for an attorney with 3-5 years' experience to join the Medical Malpractice team in our Uniondale office. The role involves representing physicians, healthcare providers, hospitals, and healthcare facilities in medical malpractice litigation. The position is hybrid, requiring remote work capability for 50% of the time. We seek a bright, motivated, and proactive attorney with excellent writing skills, independence, and comfort with client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with senior litigators to develop litigation strategies for defending medical malpractice cases;
• Draft and review pleadings, discovery, memos, briefs, and other legal documents;
• Analyze medical records;
• Represent clients in court;
• Participate in depositions, conferences, hearings, and all aspects of medical malpractice litigation;
• Interact with medical experts;
• Conduct legal and medical research and analysis;
• Draft motions;
• Work cooperatively with team members; and
• Engage with clients effectively.

Education and Experience Required

• Admission to practice in New York;
• At least 3 years of experience in medical malpractice or healthcare litigation.

NY Comprehensive Total Rewards Package

The anticipated salary range is $115,000 - $135,000, as of December 2023, with potential discretionary bonuses based on performance. Final compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, location, education, market data, and internal factors.
