Protouch Staffing is assisting a client in finding a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Defense practice with offices in Fishkill, Buffalo, and Syracuse. This role offers a path to build a long-term career, gain meaningful courtroom experience, and work with an experienced team of trial attorneys.

You will manage a diverse caseload, appear in NY state and local courts, develop litigation strategies, and collaborate with partners and staff in a mentorship-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active New York State Bar admission in good standing.
• 1–8 years of litigation experience; insurance defense preferred.
• Ability to independently manage cases and meet deadlines.
• Strong legal writing, oral advocacy, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Passion for litigation and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters.
• Handle all phases of litigation: pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trials.
• Appear in state and local courts throughout New York and surrounding regions.
• Develop litigation strategies and advocate on behalf of clients.
• Work closely with partners, attorneys, and support staff to move cases toward resolution.
• Billable expectation: approximately 180 billable hours per month.

Opportunities are available in Fishkill (Hudson Valley), Buffalo (Williamsville) and Syracuse offices. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters, including premises liability, motor vehicle, construction, property damage, and general liability claims.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trials.
• Appear in state and local courts throughout New York and surrounding regions.
• Develop litigation strategies and effectively advocate on behalf of clients.
• Work closely with partners, attorneys, and support staff to move cases toward resolution.

• Base Salary: $105,000-$130,000 (commensurate with experience).
