Job summary

Smith, Sovik, Kendrick & Sugnet, P.C. in Syracuse, New York is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our main office. This role offers immediate real-time courtroom experience and hands-on mentoring to develop into a competitive trial attorney.

The Attorney will manage a full caseload, handle all phases of litigation, and appear in NYS courts in coordination with our offices. Candidates should have NY bar admission and 1–8 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active New York State Bar admission in good standing.
• 1-8 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for insurance defense.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• A competitive mindset with a passion for advocacy.
