Job summary

Henderson Scott US is seeking a GA-licensed attorney for a fully remote role based in Georgia, preferably near Savannah for court appearances. The position is 40 hours per week with no billable-hour requirement, handling a broad range of consumer protection issues in transactional and civil litigation.

You will manage a heavy caseload, draft and review agreements, pleadings, and motions, and negotiate resolutions while conducting legal research in contract and consumer law.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice law in GA.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant law firm experience.

Responsibilities

This is a fully remote role in GA. You must live in GA and MUST BE admitted to practice law in GA. Ideally, you will live near Savannah for court appearances.

This position imparts broad responsibilities and exposes you to a range of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters.

You will manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating contracts, setting claims and advocating for clients in court.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the firm's clients in GA
• Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims
• Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law

Qualifications:

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in GA (multi-state admission would be amazing)
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
