Henderson Scott US seeks a GA-admitted attorney for a fully remote role based in Georgia. You must reside in GA and be admitted to practice in GA; proximity to Savannah is preferred for court appearances.

This 40-hour/week position involves broad responsibilities in consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters, and you will manage litigation cases, draft agreements, negotiate, and advocate for clients in court.

This is a fully remote role in GA. You must live in GA and MUST BE admitted to practice law in GA. Ideally, you will live near Savannah for court appearances.

there are no billable hours and this is a strictly 40 hour per week role

This position imparts broad responsibilities and exposes you to a range of legal issues related to consumer protection, including transactional and civil litigation matters.

You will manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating contracts, setting claims and advocating for clients in court.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the firm's clients in GA
• Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc.
• Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims
• Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law

Qualifications:

• Must be currently admitted to practice law in GA (multi-state admission would be amazing)
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
