Role Description

The role will start as a full-time and on-site in downtown San Diego, CA, with potential to transition to a hybrid arrangement after three months. The role will be responsible for supporting litigation and advisory matters across employment, real estate, and business disputes. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses; conducting legal research and analysis; and preparing memoranda and case strategy documents. The role involves attending hearings, depositions, and client meetings, as well as participating in negotiations and settlement discussions as directed by supervising attorneys. The role will collaborate closely with colleagues to manage case timelines, maintain clear client communication, and leverage firm technology tools for efficient case management.

Qualifications
  • Experience or coursework in business, real estate, and employment law.
  • Ability to provide clear, practical advice to clients and shareholders.
  • Proficient in legal research, including case law, statutes, regulations, and secondary sources.
  • Effective negotiation skills for settlement discussions and dispute resolution.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in California.
  • 1–3 years of litigation or related legal experience preferred, including drafting motions, discovery, and client correspondence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organization.
