Job summary

Advatix Inc. is seeking an Associate Attorney to join a dynamic litigation team in Reno, Nevada. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience, with ability to draft pleadings, handle discovery, and support trial preparation.

Medical malpractice defense or healthcare law experience is a plus but not required. Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 per year, DOE, plus a performance bonus. The role requires a J.D.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Nevada State Bar license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Strong understanding of Nevada State and Federal court procedures.
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, written discovery, and other litigation documents.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation matters from pre-trial through trial under the guidance of senior attorneys.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, written discovery, legal memoranda, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive legal arguments.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, client meetings, and trials as required.
  • Develop case strategies and collaborate with attorneys, clients, and expert witnesses.
  • Review and analyze medical records, evidence, and case-related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Nevada State and Federal court rules, deadlines, and procedural requirements.
  • Maintain strong client communication while providing high-quality legal representation.

Key Responsibilities
