Siegel Jennings, a property tax-focused law firm, invites an Associate Attorney to join our Pittsburgh, PA office and grow their legal career without the pressure of billable hours.

You will manage your own caseload with mentorship from experienced attorneys, develop strategies, and translate knowledge into results for clients while thriving in a collaborative culture that values ownership and contribution.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law in PA and in good standing.
• 0–6 years of litigation and trial experience; eager for growth.
• Strong research, writing and communication skills; ability to present effectively.

Responsibilities

• Try cases before trial courts throughout Pennsylvania.
• Develop case strategy and present at hearings at administrative level in PA.
• Travel extensively across PA counties for administrative and court appearances.
• Manage a significant volume litigation caseload and participate in conferences and oral arguments.
• Research, draft and file motions; provide oral argument before PA trial courts.
• Attend orientation and trainings, in-office or virtual; attend industry conferences as requested.
• No billable hours requirement.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Try cases before trial courts throughout Pennsylvania.
• Develop case strategy, attend and present at hearings at the administrative level in Pennsylvania’s 67 counties.
• Significant travel throughout Pennsylvania’s 67 counties for administrative and court appearances.
• Handling a volume litigation caseload.
• Handle trial court conferences, and oral arguments throughout the Commonwealth.
• Appear at trials and administrative hearings throughout Pennsylvania and at trial court conferences, oral arguments and evidentiary hearings.
• Research, draft, file, and respond to motions and supporting briefs, and present oral argument before Pennsylvania trial courts.
• Legal research and writing.
• Attend orientation, trainings, meetings, etc. both in-person at one of the firm’s office locations and virtually.
• Attend local or national industry conferences, as requested.
• No billable hours requirement.

Your Background:

• Applicants must be admitted to practice law in PA and be in good standing.
• Attorneys should have 0-6years of litigation and trial experience.
• Strong work ethic and eager for opportunities for professional growth.
• Detail-oriented, meets deadlines and effectively manages a full caseload, working independently in a supportive environment and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; polished presenter and public speaker.
