Role Description The Associate Attorney role is a full-time, on-site position based in Methuen, MA. The Associate Attorney will manage personal injury and related litigation matters, including client intake, case assessment, legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, and preparing discovery. Daily responsibilities include providing legal advice to clients, negotiating with opposing counsel and insurance carriers, attending hearings, depositions, and court appearances, and collaborating with senior attorneys on case strategy. The role also involves maintaining accurate case files, communicating regularly with clients about case progress, and supporting the firm’s commitment to high-quality, efficient legal representation.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to handle civil litigation matters and apply relevant statutes and case law.
• Proficiency in providing clear, practical Legal Advice to clients, including explaining options, risks, and likely outcomes.
• Excellent Research skills for case law, statutes, regulations, and factual investigations.
• Demonstrated Negotiation skills for settlements, mediation, and interactions with opposing counsel and insurance representatives.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission (or eligibility for admission) to the Massachusetts bar; New Hampshire admission is a plus.
• Prior experience in personal injury, tort, or civil litigation preferred, including drafting pleadings and handling discovery.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Commitment to ethical practice, client service, teamwork, and professional development within a fast-paced law firm environment.
