Job summary

LumenCeler Group is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 4–8 years of experience in business, professional liability, and casualty litigation to join our Los Angeles team. The role offers a hybrid schedule with potential remote work after a probationary period and a base salary in the $150,000–$240,000 range plus bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership and good standing with the California State Bar.
• 4–8 years of litigation experience at a law firm.
• Experience in business and commercial litigation, professional liability, or casualty liability.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and work independently and with a team.
• Base Salary: $150,000–$240,000 annually, depending on experience.
• Billable-Hour Requirement: 1,950 hours annually.
• Quarterly Bonuses: Eligible for quarterly bonuses when averaging 1,800 billable hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload involving business disputes, professional liability, and casualty liability matters.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Draft and review motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Take and defend depositions, attend court hearings, and represent clients in various litigation proceedings.
• Collaborate with partners and team members to develop case strategies and achieve favorable client outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties.
• Manage deadlines, workload, and billable-hour requirements while maintaining high-quality legal work.

• Base Salary: $150,000–$240,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Billable-Hour Requirement: 1,950 hours annually.
• Quarterly Bonuses: Eligible for quarterly bonuses when averaging 1,800 billable hours, subject to the firm's bonus structure.
• Flexible Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule in the Los Angeles office during the probationary period, with the option to transition to a fully remote arrangement afterward.
