Job summary

Prevail Recruiting is seeking a Senior General Liability Defense Attorney for multiple openings in Southern California with fully remote flexibility. The role focuses on GL and bodily injury defense for regional and national carriers, with a charged hourly target of 1,850.

The attorney will manage diverse defense matters, take depositions, draft motions, and participate in mediations and trial preparation. A California Bar license and 6-10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of litigation experience in general liability, bodily injury, or related insurance defense.
• Strong legal writer with practical, business-minded judgment.
• Ability to manage own caseload independently and work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and expert witnesses.
• Draft and argue motions including summary judgment and discovery motions.

The firm handles a broad mix of GL, auto, premises, and bodily injury defense matters for regional and national insurance carriers, offering attorneys real caseload responsibility, full remote flexibility, and a manageable 1,850 billable hour target.

Who You Are

• 6-10+ years of litigation experience in general liability, bodily injury, or related insurance defense
• Active California Bar license in good standing
• Comfortable managing your own caseload independently, fully remote
• Strong legal writer with practical, business-minded judgment
• Looking to build a long-term practice, not just manage a docket
