Associate Attorney – Civil / Business / Corporate Law

Location: Lake Charles, LA (Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle a variety of civil, business, and corporate law matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Manage cases from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal counsel to clients.
• Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and court proceedings as needed.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while collaborating with attorneys and staff.

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Louisiana Bar license (or ability to obtain).
• Experience in civil, business, and/or corporate law.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload while working collaboratively in a team environment.

Performance Expectations:

• Annual billable hour requirement of 1600 hours

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 – $150,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
