Devin Fontenot Attorney at Law is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing firm in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

This position is designed with an early-career attorney in mind. Recent law school graduates and attorneys with limited experience are encouraged to apply. Prior experience is not required. We are looking for someone who is motivated, eager to learn, willing to take initiative, and interested in building a long-term legal career.

Practice Areas

Our primary practice area is family law, with additional exposure to personal injury and criminal law. This position will provide the opportunity to gain meaningful litigation experience across a variety of cases.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Conduct legal research and independently analyze legal issues
• Manage assigned matters and work independently

Training and Growth

Training and mentorship will be provided. The Associate will have direct access to an experienced attorney and will be given meaningful responsibility rather than simply handling overflow work.

Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary plus a competitive bonus structure tied to work generated by the Associate. While this is an early-career position, there is significant room for professional and financial growth as the Associate develops their skills, takes on additional responsibility, and builds their own book of work.
