A highly regarded regional law firm in downtown Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney with a strong background in construction-related claims and commercial defense matters.

Compensation
Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
Compensation: $120,000 – $160,000 (DOE)

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Lead and manage a diverse caseload involving construction defect, property damage, and commercial liability claims.
- Handle all aspects of litigation — from initial pleadings to discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Draft high-quality motions, discovery responses, and legal correspondence.
- Work directly with clients and experts to develop effective defense strategies.
- Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on high-value, complex matters.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, keeping them informed and confident throughout the process.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- 5–7 years of experience in construction, commercial, or insurance defense litigation.
- Proven ability to manage cases independently and work effectively within a team.
- Excellent written, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong deposition, discovery, and motion practice experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ProLaw or similar case management software.
- Familiarity with engineering or construction defect claims.
- First or second-chair trial experience a plus.
- Background in risk assessment and negotiation strategy.
- Base Salary: $120,000 – $160,000, commensurate with experience.
