• Ability to work independently and take direction well

Responsibilities

• Research and draft complaints, answers, motions, discovery requests and responses, and briefs
• Draft and review memoranda and correspondence for partners and clients
• Manage written discovery and document review, including depositions and witness preparation
• Assist with case strategy, evidence development, and trial or hearing preparation
• Attend hearings, mediations and depositions, with increasing responsibility over time
• Communicate with clients and keep them informed of case developments
• Keep matters organized and meet court and internal deadlines
• Record time accurately and promptly, and support billing and collection of fees
• Some weekend work when deadlines require it
