Confidential Employer in Troy, Michigan is seeking a litigation attorney to manage a caseload from inception to resolution, with a strong emphasis on trial work and courtroom experience.

This role requires a Michigan Bar admission (or prompt eligibility); 2+ years civil litigation; solid writing, research, and oral advocacy skills; and collaboration with partners, associates, and staff. Hybrid schedule with in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active Michigan Bar license or eligibility for prompt admission.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Professional judgment, integrity, and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation-driven caseload from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct legal research and case analysis on complex factual and legal issues.
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials with increasing responsibility.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate closely with partners, associates, paralegals, and legal staff on case strategy.
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel.
• Maintain organized case files and meet litigation deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
