Senie & Associates, P.C. in Brewster, MA, seeks an Associate Attorney with a focus on land use, zoning, and related matters for clients on Cape Cod and beyond.
The position involves research, drafting, and representing clients before local boards, with opportunities to develop a broad land use practice including litigation and counseling in a small-firm setting.
This is a full-time, hybrid role offering significant client contact and ownership from initial consultation to resolution.
Senie & Associates, P.C. is a small law firm based in Brewster, Massachusetts. The firm’s practice centers on zoning and land use law, including land use litigation and state and local permitting. We represent property owners, developers, businesses, and other clients in navigating complex land use and development issues.
The Associate Attorney will handle a variety of land use, zoning, and related matters for clients throughout Cape Cod and, occasionally, the Greater Boston area. The practice includes both administrative and litigation matters, providing the Associate with the opportunity to develop substantial experience representing clients before local boards and commissions as well as in court.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting legal research; analyzing Massachusetts statutes, regulations, and local bylaws; drafting legal memoranda, correspondence, applications, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents; and preparing for and appearing at hearings before local boards and commissions and in court. The Associate Attorney will represent clients in zoning and permitting matters before Zoning Boards of Appeals, Planning Boards, Conservation Commissions, and other municipal bodies, as well as in land use and related litigation before Massachusetts courts. The Associate Attorney will be involved in all aspects of litigation, including case assessment and strategy, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, preparing for and participating in depositions and hearings, negotiating with opposing counsel, and preparing matters for trial.
Because we are a small firm, the Associate Attorney will have substantial client contact and hands-on responsibility across a range of matters. The position is well suited for an attorney who wants to develop a broad land use practice combining administrative advocacy, litigation, and counseling, and who is interested in taking meaningful ownership of matters from initial consultation through resolution.
This is a full-time, hybrid position.
