Responsibilities

• Draft and argue dispositive motions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare substantive legal analysis.

• Maintain regular client communication and provide case updates.

Compensation: $125,000–$155,000 Base Salary + Benefits

A well-established litigation law firm with a strong presence throughout the Northeast is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing Boston team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 5–7 years of civil litigation experience who is looking for meaningful case responsibility, direct exposure to experienced partners, and a clear path for continued professional growth. The firm offers a collaborative environment where associates are trusted to take ownership of their matters while receiving strong mentorship and support. The successful candidate will work across a diverse range of complex civil litigation matters, which may include professional liability, commercial and business litigation, product liability, employment and labor matters, and environmental and toxic tort defense.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, memoranda, and other legal documents
• Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings and trials
• Lead discovery and ensure key case deadlines are met
• Draft and argue dispositive motions
• Conduct legal research and prepare substantive legal analysis
• Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with partners, clients, and experts
• Maintain regular client communication and provide case updates and strategic guidance
• Work closely with experienced partners on complex and high-value matters

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active admission to the Massachusetts State Bar
• 5–7 years of civil litigation experience
• Experience practicing in Massachusetts state and federal courts
• Background in professional liability defense, product liability, employment and labor, environmental/toxic tort defense, or related civil litigation areas
• Hands-on experience taking and defending depositions and managing discovery
• Strong legal research, writing, advocacy, and motion practice skills
• Ability to independently manage matters while working effectively within a collaborative team

The position offers a base salary of $130,000–$155,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package (Available upon request) that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k); etc.
