Job summary

Nationally recognized litigation law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its defense litigation practice. This 100% remote role requires residency in Arizona and 2–4 years of civil defense experience. You will work alongside accomplished trial lawyers in a collaborative, remote-friendly environment.

The ideal candidate has a J.D. from an accredited law school, strong legal research and writing skills, and the ability to manage matters independently while maintaining client

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• 2+ years of relevant litigation experience, preferably in civil defense litigation.
• California Bar admission is a plus and may be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of civil defense litigation matters involving complex legal and factual issues.
• Participate in all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial preparation and resolution.
• Conduct legal research, draft substantive pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
• Assist with discovery planning, document review, case evaluation, and litigation strategy.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trial.
• Take and defend depositions, commensurate with experience.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys, clients, experts, and litigation teams to develop effective case strategies.
• Manage assigned matters independently while maintaining strong client relationships and high-quality legal work.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 – $160,000. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
