Sandel Law Firm in Akron, OH is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our growing personal injury practice full-time. The ideal candidate is a strong negotiator, clear communicator, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

You will handle client matters from intake to resolution, negotiate with insurers, draft pleadings, and appear in court or at depositions as needed.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Ohio license in good standing.
• 2+ years of experience preferred.
• Strong researching, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom experience.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently.
• Professional, client-first attitude with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload from intake through resolution.
• Negotiate injury claims with insurance adjusters.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, and mediations as needed.
• Communicate directly with clients to provide updates, explain legal options, and manage expectations.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy.
• Direct and coordinate paralegals and support staff as needed.
• Stay current on relevant case law, statutes, and regulatory changes.
