Responsibilities

• Produce quality work to prescribed standards with focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget
• Follow written work instructions and maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures including WHMIS
• Properly use required PPE
• Support and reinforce the organization's mission, values and culture
• Perform entry-level assembly functions from models/drawings within Production
• Perform simple assemblies and hardware installation with basic build documentation
• Perform pull-test, verify tooling, and interpret/assemble multiple units with basic troubleshooting
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety procedures
• Access production tools and wire prep, auto bond, sleeving

Job Summary

DRS RADA Technologies is hiring reliable Assemblers to join our rapidly growing manufacturing team on 2nd shift in Germantown, Maryland. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, takes initiative, and is motivated to build a rewarding career in a fast-paced, industry-leading workplace.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget
• Follow written work instructions must maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS)
• Properly use required PPE
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Perform entry-level assembly functions, which may include: prep, mechanical , harness, cable, printed circuit board sub-assemblies, spray application, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings, within Production
• Perform simple assemblies and hardware installation screws, washers, nuts and have basic understanding of build documentation
• Perform pull-test and verify tooling, use torque tools and have the ability to interpret & assemble multiple units in dept Basic troubleshooting
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS)
• Must be able to access production tools (routers, parts list, work instructions, etc) and be able to wire prep, auto bond, sleeving

Qualifications

The salary range for this position is $17/hour-$22/hour. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
