Job summary

Leonardo DRS, Inc. in Fort Walton Beach, FL is seeking an entry-level assembler to support production of quality hardware assemblies for defense systems. You will work from models and drawings, perform basic assembly tasks, and support continuous improvement to meet schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality work to prescribed standards, with focus on meeting customer commitments on schedule and within budget.
• Follow safety procedures including WHMIS and maintain a safe work environment.
• Use required PPE.
• Support the mission, values and culture of the organization.
• Perform entry-level assembly tasks from models/drawings (e.g., prep, mechanical, harness, cable, PCB sub-assemblies, spray, inspection).
• Perform simple assemblies and hardware installation (screws, washers, nuts) and understand build documentation.
• Perform pull-tests and verify tooling; interpret and assemble multiple units in dept; basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain safety and accessibility to production tools (routers, parts lists, etc.).
• Wire prep, auto bond, sleeving as needed.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget
• Follow written work instructions must maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS)
• Properly use required PPE
• Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Perform entry-level assembly functions, which may include: prep, mechanical , harness, cable, printed circuit board sub-assemblies, spray application, and inspection, typically working from models and/or drawings, within Production
• Perform simple assemblies and hardware installation screws, washers, nuts and have basic understanding of build documentation
• Perform pull-test and verify tooling, use torque tools and have the ability to interpret & assemble multiple units in dept Basic troubleshooting
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS)
• Must be able to access production tools (routers, parts list, work instructions, etc) and be able to wire prep, auto bond, sleeving
