Job summary

Jacobs seeks Associate (Mid-Level) Archaeologists for versatile roles across the western United States. You will conduct archival research, supervise fieldwork from Phases I-III, evaluate NRHP eligibility, and prepare reports while collaborating with engineers, scientists, and clients.

You will work with a collaborative team, lead field activities, and contribute to site investigations, compliance, and tribal consultations with hybrid work options and regional flexibility.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Archaeology or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of professional archaeological fieldwork in the US West.
• Knowledge of NEPA, NHPA, ARPA, and NAGPRA laws and policies.
• Willingness to travel frequently and for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium projects or field components as task lead.
• Coordinate with GIS and editors for project completion.
• Prepare and lead project reports and resource forms.
• Develop fieldwork plans and health, safety, and environment plans.
• Direct field crews and contribute to strategy and problem solving.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development efforts.
