Job summary

Siemens AG in Oregon is launching an Associate Training Program to become an Application Engineer. The 12-month fast-track program develops expertise in hardware and software systems for electronics, with opportunities across Field Application, Corporate Applications, and Technical Marketing.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, strong communication, and willingness to relocate within the USA upon program completion; some travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of PCB design process from schematic capture to layout: Xpedition, PADS, Allegro, KiCad, OrCAD, Eagle, and/or Altium.
  • Knowledge and experience with signal integrity or power integrity analysis tools is highly desirable: HyperLynx SI/PI, Keysight ADS, HFSS, Sigrity or SiSoft.
  • Knowledge of SPICE or IBIS modeling languages is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in a fast-track training program to develop expertise in hardware and software systems.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams on electronics design and verification projects.
  • Progress through the program toward roles in Field Application Engineer, Corporate Applications Engineer, or Technical Marketing Engineer.

As an Associate Application Engineer, you will be involved in a structured Associate Training Program. This is a fast-track paid training program that challenges you to develop the expertise needed to tackle difficult technical problems.

Associate Application Engineers are members of a team of highly motivated individuals working with customers crafting the most sophisticated hardware and software systems in the world and whose applications span the electronics industry. This training program will give you outstanding insight into our technical marketing, product support, and sales organizations. Upon successful completion of this 12-month training program, you will be eligible to advance into one of these organizations. Post program opportunities include Field Application Engineer, Corporate Applications Engineer, and Technical Marketing Engineer Positions.

Associate positions require excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; self-motivated and results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Some travel may be required. Applicants must be willing and able to relocate anywhere within the USA upon completion of training. This role will begin in September 2026.
