Job summary

Henkel is seeking a lab-based engineer for the APP applications team in the Adhesive Technologies unit. The role focuses on supporting paper packaging projects, technical requests, and collaboration with service and sales teams.

You will prepare reports, communicate findings to stakeholders, and contribute to safety and process improvement initiatives while growing product knowledge and testing capabilities.

Qualifications

  • BS ChE, ME, MatE, Chemistry or similar degree/experience required.
  • 1–5 years of technical industry experience; able to troubleshoot complex problems.
  • Experience with adhesives or paper converting applications is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent people skills; effective in a team environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong analytical and hands-on mechanical skills.
  • Experience with analytical equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • This lab-based role will lead internal and external technical requests and projects for the APP applications team, with emphasis on Paper Packaging segments.
  • Plans and executes laboratory projects to support customer/market projects in collaboration with technical service and sales teams.
  • Prepares laboratory reports presenting findings and conclusions and prepares direct customer correspondence.
  • Effectively communicates technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develops portfolio knowledge to make product recommendations and identify gaps.
  • Develops and implements applications testing capabilities.
  • Actively supports the quality complaint investigation process.
  • May execute customer visits for complaint investigations, troubleshooting, data collection, product/technology demos, equipment management, and training seminars as needed.
  • Leads by example in safety and maintains 100% compliance for all SHE initiatives.

What you’ll do

The salary range for this role is $68000.00 and $82000.00. This range represents the good-faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
