Job summary

Virginia Tech is seeking two Associate Application Analysts to join our Enterprise Systems team supporting HR or Finance applications. You will analyze processes, design and test solutions, and support integrations and reporting to improve university operations.

This role offers growth in enterprise applications, system integration, and data analysis, with mentorship from experienced staff and collaboration across HR, Payroll, and Finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to analyze business processes.
• Foundational understanding of HR, payroll, finance, or other admin processes or ability to learn quickly.
• Familiarity with relational databases and basic knowledge of SQL.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience developing scripts, code, or reports using languages such as Java, Groovy, Python, .NET, PL/SQL, SAS, or SQR.

These teams support, develop,and integrate application software systems and enterprise data thatpower critical university administrative operations. With a strongfocus on technology, efficiency, collaboration, and innovation, ourteams deliver solutions that support Human Resources, Payroll,Finance, and the employees who rely on these services everyday.

As an Associate Application Analyst, you will:

Required Qualifications

• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle andintegration practices
• Exposure to web application frameworks such as Angular orReact
