Amgen is seeking an Associate Data Scientist for Obesity Intelligence & Analytics to advance AI-enabled solutions across enterprise functions. You will collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to design, prototype and deploy models, retrieval and agent systems while ensuring production readiness.

The role emphasizes GenAI engineering, end-to-end data workflows, and strong Python/SQL execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma with 2+ years in CS/Engineering/Data Science or related field.
• Strong Python and SQL with production software design or review experience.
• Experience with AI/ML, GenAI, end-to-end data science and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery by clarifying workflow, outcomes, data readiness and deployment needs.
• Translate problems into executable technical designs, plans and milestones.
• Build or review production AI-enabled components, APIs and integrations.
• Define integrated architecture across apps, data, models and access control.
• Coordinate full-stack delivery across AI, data science, engineering and operations.
• Establish testing, evaluation and governance for AI-enabled systems.
