Job summary

JCW Group is seeking an Associate Actuary to join their actuarial team. You will conduct rate adequacy analyses, develop pricing using predictive models, and build profitability models to inform reinsurance decisions across crop and livestock products.

You will also provide quantitative support on derivatives and hedging strategies, while collaborating with underwriting, finance, and leadership on pricing, financial reporting, new products, and competitive analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong statistical and predictive modeling skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insight.
• Proficiency in R, SQL, or Python.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting to business partners.

Responsibilities

• Conducting rate adequacy analysis and developing product pricing using actuarial and predictive modeling techniques.
• Building policyholder profitability models to inform reinsurance decisions across multi-peril crop and livestock products.
• Providing quantitative support on derivative market instruments and helping execute hedging and trading strategies.
• Partnering with underwriting, finance, and leadership on pricing, financial reporting, new products, and competitor analysis.
