Job summary

Allied World is seeking an actuarial associate to assist in pricing treaty submissions, test and improve models, and analyze industry data for pricing tools. The role involves preparing data for pricing databases and meeting with brokers and clients as needed.

With 0–2 years of related experience and a CAS exam in progress, the candidate should demonstrate Excel proficiency and strong communication skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or a technical major.
• 0–2 years related work experience.
• Completion of at least one CAS actuarial exam.
• Recent actuarial internship experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Knowledge of VBA and SAS is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pricing individual treaty submissions.
• Contribute to the testing and improvement of actuarial models.
• Collect and analyze industry data for usage within pricing tools.
• Prepare data for inclusion in pricing database.
• Meet with brokers and clients as required.
• Complete Casualty Actuarial Society designation (or equivalent).
