Job summary

The Jonus Group seeks an Associate Actuary to lead complex actuarial analyses, support business decisions, and develop processes across P&C lines. This hybrid role offers exposure to multiple products and ownership of projects from analysis through implementation.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years pricing/reserving experience, strong SQL/R/Python/VBA skills, and is pursuing ACAS with FCAS preferred. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Progress toward ACAS designation with continued pursuit of FCAS preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of actuarial pricing and/or reserving experience within Property and Casualty insurance.
• Proficiency with SQL, R, Python, VBA, or similar data analysis tools.
• Prior experience with rate filings preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and take ownership from analysis through implementation.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

Associate Actuary

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Actuary to lead complex actuarial analyses, support business decision-making, and contribute to the development of actuarial processes and team capabilities. This role offers exposure to a broad range of insurance products and provides opportunities to take ownership of projects from analysis through implementation.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Lead rate indications, reserving analyses, profitability studies, and other actuarial projects across multiple lines of business, including BOP, Umbrella, Workers' Compensation, and Commercial Auto.
• Provide actuarial support for a variety of insurance products, including specialty and catastrophe-exposed risks.
• Support the development and filing of rate changes with regulatory authorities.
• Apply actuarial and business expertise to develop effective, data-driven solutions.
• Identify and implement improved methods and processes to enhance team effectiveness.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $110,000 - $175,000 annually, depending on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
