The Jonus Group is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to support complex actuarial analyses across pricing, filings, business analysis and product development. The role focuses on improving processes, supporting multiple commercial lines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Hybrid work arrangement offered. Ideal candidates have rate filings experience and actuarial credentials progress; strong SQL, R, Python, and VBA skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with rate filings required.
• Progress toward actuarial credentials preferred, CAS examinations.
• Minimum of 3 years actuarial pricing/reserving in P&C.
• Proficiency with SQL, R, Python, VBA or similar data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain actuarial concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory rate filings and rate implementation for commercial lines.

Senior Actuarial Analyst

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Actuarial Analyst to support complex actuarial analyses and contribute to key business decisions across pricing, regulatory rate filings, business analysis, and product development. This role offers the opportunity to improve actuarial processes, support multiple commercial lines of business, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory rate filings and rate implementation activities for commercial lines, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
• Support the development and execution of long-term improvements to rate filing processes and capabilities.
• Collaborate with Pricing, Product, Technology, and regulatory stakeholders to improve efficiency, responsiveness, and overall process effectiveness.
• Utilize automation, artificial intelligence, and modern analytical tools to improve workflows and generate scalable business insights.
• Establish and maintain effective peer-review and governance practices.
• Represent organizational positions with regulators, auditors, and external partners as needed.
• Contribute to rate indications, reserving analyses, profitability studies, and other actuarial projects across multiple lines of business.
• Support commercial insurance products, including Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, and other specialty coverages.
• Apply actuarial and business expertise to develop effective solutions for complex or specialized risks.
• Identify and implement improved methods and processes to enhance team effectiveness.
• Present actuarial analyses, findings, and recommendations to support business decisions.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Prior experience with rate filings required.
• Progress toward actuarial credentials preferred, including relevant CAS examinations.
• Minimum of 3 years of actuarial pricing and/or reserving experience within Property and Casualty insurance.
• Proficiency with SQL, R, Python, VBA, or similar data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute effectively in a collaborative environment.

Compensation Package

• Salary Range: $100,000 – $155,000 annually, depending on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
