Responsibilities

Job Summary

Assists in the preparation of financial reports, budgeting, forecasting and analysis. Reviews, prepares, and reconciles financial statements and transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. Analyzes financial and accounting data and processes to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement. As part of the Accounting & Finance department, performs various tasks, such as month-end closing, audit preparation and financial planning. Assists with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed. Requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions

• Focus on gaining knowledge and expertise in a targeted accounting area; learn end-to-end processes and accounting transactions
• Build relationships with team and business area by providing accurate accounting transactions and fundamental analysis, reporting and metrics
• Perform / assist with key accounting tasks including journal entries, analysis, reporting, and reconciliations
• Support preparation of reports, graphs, and charts to illustrate and communicate key performance indicators
• Provide interpretation / explanation of business results to management and other stakeholders
• Identify opportunities for process improvements
• Document and communicate changes to assigned processes
• Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed
