Job summary

Pacific Clinics in Los Gatos, CA seeks an Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day, month-end and year-end close processes. You will help prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

Under supervision of a senior accountant, you will maintain general ledger accounts, analyze transactions, assist with budget tracking, and generate management reports for various stakeholders.

Qualifications

• AA/AS in accounting or equivalent with four years accounting experience.
• Familiarity with GAAP and financial compliance standards.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mantains, analyzes and reconciles general ledger accounts.
• Prepares and maintains asset liability and other financial transaction records.
• Analyzes records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries.
• Establishes tables of accounts, and assigns entries to proper accounts.
• Analyzes and prepares periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs.
• Compiles, codes, categorizes, calculates, tabulates, audits, verifies, and/or processes information or data.
• Generates reports and responds to inquiries utilizing finance systems.
• Structures or classifies multiple pieces of information and presents information appropriately for variety of audiences.
• Actively participates in and develops organization and process improvements.
• Performs other responsibilities, as assigned, to support department and business needs.
