Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic is seeking an experienced Accountant to establish and maintain GAAP accrual-based financial statements and internal controls. The role involves coordinating journal entries, closing the general ledger, and preparing accurate financial reports for management and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a four-year track record in healthcare finance, strong Excel/Access skills, and experience with Oracle. CPA preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or finance.
• At least four (4) years of experience in financial statement preparation and reconciliation.
• Experience with building complex spreadsheets using Excel and Access.

Responsibilities

• Set up spreadsheets and/or other required work papers to support journal entries to the general or subsidiary ledgers.
• Organize and coordinate posting of entries to ledgers to maintain a timely close process.
• Review general ledger trial balance monthly for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Coordinate the monthly closing of Oracle modules.
• Generate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
