Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking an Associate Accountant to support month-end close and financial reporting. The role offers hybrid work and exposure to SG&A, plant accounting, and internal/external reporting. Job Description: About the Role The Associate Accountant supports the month-end accounting process for the Accounting & Finance organization at TreeHouse Foods. In this role, you will help ensure the timely and accurate completion of the month-end close and preparation of financial statements. You will also provide analytical support to business teams through account analysis, financial reporting, audits, and the maintenance of accounting systems and processes. This position offers exposure to multiple areas of finance, including SG&A, plant accounting, and internal and external reporting. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions, including: Preparing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, analyzing account activity, investigating variances, and supporting other month-end close activities. Assisting with the preparation of monthly internal financial packages and external reporting requirements. Supporting projects focused on improving reporting, increasing efficiency, and strengthening overall finance processes. Assisting with the administration of the account reconciliation tool and other month-end processes to support internal control compliance. Participating in ongoing internal control reviews and helping maintain accurate supporting documentation. Identifying opportunities to use artificial intelligence tools to improve process efficiency, accuracy, and controls. Supporting internal and external audits by preparing documentation, gathering sample data, responding to questions, and resolving assigned audit items. Important Details This is a full-time, hybrid role operating on first shift. The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $52,000.00 - 78,000.00 USD Annually. This is the lowest to highest pay we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award or bonus. You’ll fit right in if you have: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least two years of progressive accounting or finance experience. Experience in record-to-report, audit, or financial reporting; a CPA designation is preferred. A strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams; experience with SAP, BPC, BlackLine, or similar accounting tools is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
