POSITION SUMMARY:

The Associate Account Manager is responsible for proactively maintaining and retaining relationships with existing customers for permanent commercial and industrial waste services in an assigned territory. The Associate Account Manager makes outbound calls and receives inbound calls to retain business with Republic Services’ smaller, less complex commercial and industrial customers, and to increase penetration within their existing customer base by selling the full suite of Republic Services products.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Maintain and retain existing customers by proactively reaching out daily.
  2. Develop thorough knowledge of the company's services, pricing, and offers additional services as appropriate.
  3. Perform contractual re-signs to extend relationships and increase profitability where appropriate.
  4. Respond to cancellation requests per escalation policy.
  5. Communicate proactively with customers regarding pricing initiatives.
  6. Utilize Salesforce daily to schedule and document activities.
  7. Capture customer emails, minimize rate restrictions and credits.
  8. Increase customer penetration by selling the full suite of products.
  9. Meet regularly with the Sales Manager to review activities, progress, and key relationships.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in waste or transportation industry.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. (Required)
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience (Required)
Pay Range:

$22.40 - $33.60

Bonus Plan Details:

Sales Commission Plan Target, 30% annual bonus.
