Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a field-based Sales professional to drive market share in the Houston territory. You will promote and sell our products to physicians, hospitals, and clinics, while developing new prospects and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include presenting clinical data, identifying opportunities, and coordinating with marketing to penetrate target healthcare facilities. Requires strong communication, organization, and strategic selling skills.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in a related discipline with 2–5 years of field experience, or MS/MA with 1–3 years.
  • Medical device/biotech/tissue sector preferred; strong relationship-building.

  • Present clinical data to physicians; conduct group and individual presentations.

Job description

Position Summary
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase market share by identifying targeted commercial and/or government physician practices, hospitals, wound care clinics, medical centers, surgical centers, and related entities within the assigned territory.
  • Promote and sell the Company's products and tissues by interacting with established customers and developing new prospects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contribute to minimal to moderate sales growth of existing accounts in the assigned territory (supervision level: high to moderate).
  • Maintain a high level of customer and patient satisfaction.
  • Assist in identifying new market opportunities, implementing marketing strategies, and developing sales plans to penetrate target healthcare facilities within the assigned territory.
  • Assist with selecting presentation content from company-approved resources; conduct large group and individual presentations to customers and prospects.
  • Assist in resolving reimbursement issues for customers within established policies and guidelines.
Education/Experience
  • BS/BA in a related discipline; 2-5 years of experience in a related field with 1-3 years of progressive responsible positions (or verifiable ability). OR
  • MS/MA with 1-3 years of experience in a related field (certification required in some areas); prefer 3-4 years in medical device/biotechnology/tissue segments; previous experience in high-growth organizations and relationship development.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and customers.

  • Strong analytical, strategic/technical analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze markets, plan sales strategies, and present clinical/scientific data to physicians.
  • Proven sales results and ability to achieve/exceed sales objectives.
  • Strategic selling and market analytics skills.
  • Ability to build a moderate-size network of healthcare provider relationships.
Work Environment
  • Work at customer/clinical sites and/or home office; follow customer dress code (scrubs and white coat), adhere to credentialing/registration (up-to-date vaccines), and travel locally and/or long distance within the assigned territory.
Compensation / Benefits (as stated)
  • Salary: $60,000-$72,000 plus commissions.
  • Benefits include healthcare, 401(k) savings plan, ESPP, vacation, and parental leave.
