The College of Science at the University of North Texas consists of the Departments of Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics and the interdisciplinary programs Teach North Texas, BioDiscovery Institute, Advanced Environmental Research Institute, and Interdisciplinary Program in Applied and Computational Science. The college offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees in science and mathematics, currently serving more than 4,000 majors. To provide academic and career advising services to students in the College of Science. This position may assist in the coordination of departmental projects and/or educational programs in collaboration with higher level staff.
Bachelor's degree
Strong presentation skills; strong problem solving skills. Ability to learn and use a variety of simple to complex computer applications. Ability to communicate effectively with populations verbally and in writing. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to work independently.
Experience in higher education.
Communicating with others to exchange information.
Lifting and Moving objects up to 20 pounds.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
