A nationally recognised law firm is seeking to strengthen its employment and workplace‑rights practice with the addition of an Associate. The firm is known for advising and representing employees, executives, and senior professionals across a broad range of employment matters, from complex negotiations to high‑profile litigation addressing discrimination, workplace misconduct, and systemic unfairness. In parallel, the practice continues to evolve into new and emerging areas of litigation, including cutting‑edge matters at the intersection of technology, consumer rights, and discrimination.

The firm also places strong emphasis on its internal culture, with a genuine commitment to inclusion, respect, and professional development. As it continues to grow, it prioritises building a supportive environment where diverse perspectives are valued and individuals are encouraged to thrive.

Role

The Associate will support and lead work across a broad range of employment‑related disputes and advisory matters, including both individual claims and class or collective actions. The role offers significant responsibility, direct client engagement, and exposure to litigation and advocacy across multiple forums. Associates are encouraged to take ownership of matters while working closely with experienced colleagues in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise and represent employees, executives, and other individuals on employment‑related disputes
  • Work on individual claims and class or collective actions involving workplace rights
  • Support litigation across federal and state courts, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative bodies
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive legal documents
  • Engage directly with clients, including intake, counseling, and case strategy discussions
  • Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions
  • Contribute to impact‑driven litigation in emerging and evolving legal areas
  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously while meeting competing deadlines
Key Skills

  • Strong analytical, research, drafting, and written communication skills
  • Admitted to practice in at least one relevant U.S. jurisdiction
  • Demonstrates ownership and initiative, with the ability to manage matters through to completion
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships
  • Highly organised, with experience managing a busy and varied caseload across multiple deadlines
  • Confident communicator with the initiative to support client engagement and practice growth
  • Exercises sound professional judgment, discretion, and respect for confidentiality
  • Motivated by purpose‑driven work and a genuine interest in advocating for workplace rights
  • Competitive base salary, benchmarked to experience and seniority
  • Comprehensive healthcare and benefits package
  • Exposure to high‑profile, meaningful legal work
  • Substantial client contact and responsibility early in role
  • Supportive, inclusive workplace culture with a strong values‑led ethos
  • Opportunities to contribute to business development and practice growth
  • Long‑term professional development within a growing national platform

This role would suit an Associate who is motivated by purpose as much as technical excellence and who thrives in an environment where legal work is closely connected to broader social impact. The firm values initiative, integrity, and collaboration, and offers the chance to build a long‑term career while contributing to work that genuinely matters.
