Job summary

Amherst-Pelham Regional Public Schools is seeking a full-time Assistive Technology / Information Technology Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports AT services for students and oversees device implementation and staff training across the district.

Under guidance from Special Education and IT leadership, the coordinator will evaluate AT solutions, manage the iPad fleet, and ensure compliance with IDEA/Section 504. Collaboration with families is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant field.
• Experience implementing assistive technology in a school setting preferred.
• Knowledge of accessibility practices and IDEA/Section 504 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plans, researches, coordinates, and participates in assistive tech solutions.
• Evaluates and recommends AT solutions to support curriculum access.
• Manages adaptive hardware, software, and equipment for students with disabilities.
• Provides training to staff, students, and families on AT devices and software.
• Provides technical support for AT devices and applications.
• Monitors AT software licenses, updates, and budget implications.
• Manages district iPad fleet: purchasing, assignment, distribution, lifecycle.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Assesses students via IEP/504 processes and recommends AT accommodations.
• Participates in IEP/504 meetings; supports individualized planning.
• Delivers trainings on AT to staff and caregivers.
• Maintains inventory and licenses for AT devices.
