Job summary

Brethren Care Village in Ashland, OH is seeking an Assisted Living Nurse (LPN) to cover nights at Belmont Tower/Brookwood Place. Roles include supervising nursing staff, administering medications, and ensuring comprehensive resident care per policies. Can be full-time or part-time with nights and flexible hours.

Applicants must hold an Ohio LPN license and CPR certification, with strong customer service and leadership skills. Competitive pay and shift differentials apply for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in Ohio required.
• Current and valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire required.
• Strong leadership skills and/or previous experience are preferred.
• Strong customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the standards of nursing care and implements the policies and procedures of the facility's nursing department including skin grids and treatments, preventative skin plans, preventative fall plans, incident reports and admission paperwork.
• Attends team care conferences as needed.
• Provides oral instructions to nursing assistants.
• Assesses residents and records all pertinent information in resident's records.
• Documents administration of medications according to facility policies and procedures.
• Functions as team leader and supervisor.
• Supports decisions and facilitates communications with residents and their families, and nursing assistants and support staff.
• Ensures residents' call lights are answered.
• Receives and records oral telephone medication and treatment orders from physicians/physician's offices.
• Reports changes in resident's health status to physician, resident, and/or responsible party.
• Performs daily tasks in accordance with infection control and standard precaution policies and procedures.
• Follows policies and procedures related to body mechanics and lift systems.
• Ensures residents' individual care plans are followed by reviewing nursing assistant assignment sheets.
• Ensures nursing assistants complete required documentation before shift ending including service check off lists, Restorative Care and Intake and Output records.
• Ensures rounds are done with shift-to-shift change to prevent conflict.

Full Time or Part Time | Nights (6pm - 6am) | 12, 24 or 36 Hours per week!

PRN

Pay: $24 - $25.80/hour (Based on experience PLUS shift differentials: +$.50/hr nights, +$1/hr weekends)
